RETURN CATALOGUE ITEMS USING SCANNER
This is a core
process within Baslogue®. This is where you record items as
having been returned by people so that they can be placed back on the
shelves, as quickly as possible, and with the use of
barcodes. If you deal with physically small items, you may
consider having a
"return bin" where people can simply drop returned items, and then at
the end of the day perform the process below on all items that have
been returned.
There are other
ways of returning an item - refer to Returning
Catalogue
Items for further details. The method described
below is specifically for use with barcodes.
It is highly recommended that you first
print out the Cheat Sheet. The
right-hand side of the cheat sheet contains the steps that you will
find below.
By
using
the Cheat Sheet it is possible to perform the entire Return Items
process using the barcode scanner only.
This feature is not available if you are
currently running the Standalone Edition under the Catalogue Browser
role.
