CHECKING FOR OVERDUE CATALOGUE ITEMS
Baslogue® provides
a simple way of checking what catalogue items are currently on loan and
are overdue to be returned. (This
feature
is not available to the Catalogue Browser role when running the
Standalone Edition.)
On the main window
in the Catalogue Tab, there is an
area at the bottom containing are range of buttons. One of these
buttons is called "Show Overdue Items".
Clicking
on this button will apply a special filter to the list of
items, so that only those items that are on loan and are overdue will now be
displayed. See this screen shot for an example:
Note the Filter Status panel at the bottom of
the list of items that reads --- (Status
=
Currently on Loan) and (Due Date < 31/03/2009)
This is the filter
that means that only the items on loan are being shown where the Due
Date is older than today (in this example, today is 31/03/2009).
If you click on the
Export to Excel button at this
points, you will only export the items that are showing - i.e. the ones
that are overdue.
Once you are done
with viewing this list of items, click on the white cross inside a red
box to the left of the Filter Status message. This will clear the
filter, showing all items again.
