BACKUP AND RESTORE (STANDALONE EDITION ONLY)
Baslogue®
provides
a common file format between the Standalone and Database Editions for
backup and transfer of data. The screen below allows you to
backup and restore data within the Standalone Edition.
The Database
Edition contains data import and export functions that use the same
file format. This is accessed from the Baslogue® Administration
Wizard which is installed on the Server computer when installing the
Database Editon. See transferring
data for further information.
Select "Setup | Backup and Restore ..." from
the main menu of the Standalone Edition. You will then see the
following dialog:
Creating a Backup
The example above
shows a filename selected in the Create
Backup
File area. Once a file has been selected, simply
click "Create Backup" to create
the backup file.
Restoring a Backup
If you have a
backup file that you want to restore, simply select that file in the Restore from Backup File area, then
click "Restore from Backup".
Note that ALL
existing data will be destroyed before the data from the backup file is
restored.
