Baslogue ®   a basic catalogue system for tracking your items

There are two editions of Baslogue^® available.  Choose the one that best meets your needs.

• Standalone Edition
  
  This edition is for use on a single computer.  It is low-priced and easy to install.  Your data is stored in XML data files.  This bypasses any of the complexity associated with storing data in a database.  You have all of the functionality of the Database Edition - the only difference between this edition and the Database Edition is that only one user can use the program at a time, and only on the same computer (there are some differences between editions in how security is managed). 
   
  Should you decide to upgrade to the Database Edition at a later stage your data can be easily transferred from one edition to the other.
   
  You can download and evaluate the Standalone Edition for up to 14 days.  When are finished evaluating it, you can purchase a license to unlock your evaluation version.

• Database Edition
   
  Use this edition when you need access to your data from more than one computer.  Your data is stored in your choice of database - Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL.  You have all of the functionality of the Standalone Edition, plus the ability to define security access restrictions by user. 
   
  To evaluate the features of Baslogue^® you should first download and trial the Standalone Edition found above.  When you are finished evaluating the Standalone Edition, you should follow the instructions for Testing the Database Edition Before Purchase.  This is to ensure that you have the right hardware and software to support the Database Edition before you part with your money and purchase a license.
